April is here, and it finally feels like spring.
Something about this season always feels like a beginning—
so today, I wanted to share a story about mine.
I currently have three Super Dollfie girls with the F-32 head sculpt (Volks FCS). 🥰
But among them, the very first one I brought home is a truly special presence—
she was the reason I started sharing what I love with others.
The One Who Started It All
My first F-32 was a full-choice order I made at Tenshi no Sato back in 2013.
Looking back now, I brought in some very embarrassing handmade reference materials—honestly, I can’t believe I had the courage to do that.
At the time, just showing my personal taste to someone else felt incredibly nerve-wracking.
She was also the very first thing I ever shared publicly as something I truly loved.
Long before this blog, I used to run a doll-focused blog.
It no longer exists now, but it was the first time I ever expressed my interests openly—and it all started with her.
Through that, I was able to connect with so many people who shared the same passion.
Looking back, I honestly feel grateful. Without her, I probably wouldn’t have started blogging, taking photos, or sharing anything at all.
She Brought Friends With Her
One of the “dangerous” things about this hobby is…
before you know it, they start bringing friends.
So, here comes the second one.
She has a calm and composed presence.
Even though she’s technically the younger one, she sometimes feels more like the older sister.
I switched her eyes to a custom pair, which gave her a softer and gentler expression.
It suits her really well.
“I’m Not Getting Another One” (…or so I thought)
And then… the third one arrived.
She has that bright, sweet, youngest-child charm.
With her warm brown eyes, she gives off a softer and more playful impression compared to the other two.
I’ve taken her to photo studios quite often, and I have a lot more photos of her that I’d love to share someday.
I originally thought I would only have one,
but before I knew it, there were three.
Even though they share the same head sculpt, each of them feels completely different.
Every time I photograph them together, I still discover something new.
Because They Were There
A lot has happened over the years, but one thing I know for sure—
having them in my life has brought me more happiness.
More than anything, what stays with me is this:
through loving something, I was able to connect with others who love it too.
Maybe that’s what hobbies are really about in the end.
Starting my first blog, picking up a camera, and wanting to put my thoughts into words—
all of it began with her.
Looking back now, the day I gathered the courage to bring her home feels like a turning point in my life.
I hope to keep photographing them and slowly continue documenting these moments.
And when I have more photos, I’ll be sure to share them here again.
